This study has been reviewed by, and received ethics clearance through, the University of Exeter Ethics Committee (Reference number: eCORN002530 v3.1).

 

 

Purpose and benefits of this study:

The data collected in this questionnaire will help evaluate visitor perceptions of COVID-19 transmission risk and risk mitigation in great ape tourism. These data will then be used to help develop targeted education programmes and may be used in academic publications, if relevant.

 

What you will be asked to do:

If you decide to partake in this questionnaire, please simply answer the questions at your convenience. It should take up to 20 minutes

 

 

Foreseeable risks and discomfort: 

Whilst the questionnaire does touch on the issue of COVID-19, it is focussed specifically on great ape tourism sites and associated mitigation rather than personal reflections on the virus or its impact.

 

Confidentiality

Any information or identifying records collected will remain anonymous and confidential. Data will be stored securely, following University of Exeter policy.

 

Voluntary participation

Any participation in this questionnaire is entirely voluntary. There is no requirement to complete this and you are entitled, should you wish, to discontinue at any time.
